Wow I haven't made a journal in a while. Even though I meant to!

Okay, so I forgot to talk about it completely, but the dA world Tour meet here was really fun. I went downtown with ~The-Gentle-Giant to it. After some searching in the hot sun and being tired and shit, we finally got there and were greeted by $Moonbeam13 with NAMETAGS! dA nametags make me happy; I have no stuck my second one onto my hat. I was also the only one with a Fella plushie, oddly enough, it seemed. I'd have thought more people bought dA merch P:

I met two really cool new people, :devacid-arcadial: and =Pirka, while I was there. We hung out and doodled together for a while. I spyed (lolpun) $spyed, $Heidi, ~tarkheki. Didn't get much chance to talk, but it was fun just to watch. (Evil kids with sprinklers. We got attacked.)

After that, my birthday came and went and I'm 17 now. Yay? It was a bit of a miserable event all around, I had my first day of school then so I sat around and was bored until 3:15, where I went home and sat around and was bored some more, it rained a lot and a lot of things broke. I didn't really get anything, even well wishes, from a lot of my family and friends, so I spent my time moping xD Though at the end of the day, I got to go to Mandarin and have them sing me Happy Birthday in Engrish.. lol.

Friends made it a lot better subsequently on Canada Day I actually got presents, yaay! And movies and fun time.

*sigh* Summer school is a silly thing. I really don't learn anything; my teacher's drivel is 50% religious bullshit and 50% plain bullshit - and I'm taking a LAW CLASS! So yeah, I just sit there and play DS/draw/write/read books/teach myself Klingon. It's horrid and boring most of the time but what can you do.

Now I've got some Subeta commissions to finish up, then I am so taking a break. I am sick of commissions, but I managed to make a solid fifty dollars and a lot of Subeta points so.. I'm satisfied. But I do need a break for my own projects.

I've been watching Star Trek: Voyager ever since school got out I'm about to start season 4. (Wow, I'm fast) And it's been great homg this show is my childhood and I feel like I'm 7 all over again. /shuts up about Star Trek before she gets into it

But on that train of thought, I'm going to Polaris in Toronto next weekend! It's a SF/Fantasy convention downtown. I'll be cosplaying Kes from Star Trek and an original creation from the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy universe. A Sirius Cybernetics Corporation employee, if anyone's read the books I'm so so so excited

At the end of the month, I MAY be heading out to Montreal for Otakuthon. We'll see how that goes down. At the end of August though, expect to see me at Fan Expo. Cosplaying like a nut, again, of course. Reborn, Kuroshitsuji, and Star Trek are on my list for that con. So many celebrities I want to meet..
